Word is that WSM is ending the volunteer program, which in many people's view is a mainstay of coops. Only current voluteers can keep doing it, with no new ones. No doubt this decision will be attributed to there being "too many lawyers," who flamed the fears of liability and work-place rules. Great. On the other hand, is this a sign that WSM is diverging from being a coop? What gives?
