Mayor Mark Kleinschmidt invites residents to join him in riding Chapel Hill's fare-free transit system, followed by free coffee and an informal conversation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Starbucks at 103 E. Franklin Street.
The discussion about transportation issues in Chapel Hill will include updates on alternative transportation, including Chapel Hill Transit.

Instead of praising the mayor for his willingness to discuss issues, you complain about the venue? BTW your blog has gotten incredibly stale.
...but I agree. I had a freind come to the site and they could not understand why the front page posts were so few and far between.And speaking selfishly I took the time to write two long posts and they languish in the background while blurbs about a polititian getting appointed to some postion (yawn) show up right away.
Lots of interesting ideas are shared on OP and not all of them are front-paged. That's why I encourage people to read beyond the front page. There are some tips and guidelines are at http://orangepolitics.org/news/how-do-i-get-my-post-on-the-front-page I see you just registered here a week ago. Spend more time here so that the editors can get to know and trust you. Some people try to get folks to comment on their post since that also gets on the front page in a way. Some posts I'm never going to promote to the front page because I just disagree with what they're advocating, but you can always continue posting here as long as it's not offensive or hurtful.

Anybody can go into Starbucks or Jack Sprats or Suttons or Carolina Coffee Shop but only those people not working from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on a Wednesday can go into any of those places on a Wednesday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, which includes the large mass of people that work business hours plus a few more besides.
including early morning, late evenings, weekends, you name it. This particular event just happened to get picked up on OP.org.
